The very wise Winnie the Pooh once said: “we didn’t realise we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun”. And this is my aim when photographing you - I want you to feel relaxed and happy, and just have fun as a family. There will be some gentle direction and suggestions now and again but otherwise it's my job to capture you as you truly and authentically are.

MATERNITY

Take the time to celebrate you and the life you’re growing during this most magical of chapters. My maternity sessions are relaxed and can take place wherever you feel most comfortable - at home, or out in nature. I generally suggest booking your session anywhere from around 30 weeks (less if you’re having twins!) so your bump has fully popped. Partners and children are of course always welcome.

NEWBORN

Celebrate the arrival of your new great love in the comfort of your own home. The sessions are baby-led and there’s no pressure; we can stop for feeds, naps, and for changes (or, if you want to, we can capture those as well - there is beauty in all aspects of newborn life). And there are no rules as to when squishy little babies should be documented - choose a time and age that feels right to you, whether that’s at 2 weeks, 2 months, or later.

MOTHERHOOD

If you're anything like me, you'll have thousands and thousands of photos of your little one(s), near on the same of your little one and your partner and...far fewer that actually include you. It is so important that you are in the photos as well; your family will thank you for it, and seeing the love between you and your child documented will make your heart sing. You are free to book a full family session of course, but I also offer slightly shorter sessions where you can spend some time with the littlest love of your life while I document the bond you share.

FAMILY

My family sessions are relaxed, fun and led by your little one(s), without any pressure on anyone to perform. Bundle up at home, or choose to roam outdoors; either way we'll get some gorgeous images as long as you come with an open heart. And if you’re wondering whether it’s the right time, the answer is yes! Don’t wait for a special occasion; there's magic waiting to be captured every single day.

MINI SESSIONS

From time to time I offer mini-sessions; these take place on fixed dates and in set locations. They are suitable for motherhood (and fatherhood!) and family sessions, babies included.

FAQS

If you like what you see here and would like to book in a session, or want further information before making a decision, please get in touch via my contact page. I will then email you to discuss. When you're ready we can pencil in a date, which will be secured after completion of a short contract and payment of a deposit.
Newborn sessions are usually at home, and family sessions usually take place outdoors. But ultimately, it’s up to you. Your local park is always a good spot but I have a number of special spots in the area that I like to use, and am always happy to provide suggestions.
Any time of day works well, apart from the few hours around midday when the sun is high and trying to cast all sorts of shadows on your face (if it’s cloudy however, we don’t need to worry!) If you want the dreamy golden light though, we need to go for sunrise or sunset (but don’t forget that cloud cover might interfere with this…)
Well no parent ever leaves home without snacks, so that goes without saying (though snacks that aren’t too messy are the best option!) It’s also a good idea to bring your little one’s favourite toy, in case we need to distract them. Bubbles, kites, balls etc are also welcome.
A little bit of drizzle or grey sky is fine - in fact it can make for beautiful and atmospheric imagery, so please don't worry about that. But I’ll keep my eye on the forecast if it's due to pour we will reschedule - better for you, and better for my camera!
It happens! I just ask that you let me know as soon as possible so we can reschedule.
Yes, absolutely. My dog is part of my family and always makes it into our family photos. Four legged friends are always welcome.
Full disclosure: I LOVE black and white. It gives your photos a timeless quality and some images are just made for it. My natural style therefore is to include a good mix of colour and black and white. However, I understand that not everybody wants black and white photos - if this is the case with you, just tell me and I’ll make sure not to include any.
I aim to deliver private online preview galleries within three weeks of your session. I will always try to send you a couple of sneak peeks within a few days of our session.
